CSR looks like game: Buccaneers edition

Ed. Note – For those of you who enjoyed this series last year, we’ve decided to change it up for 2018. Instead of focusing our attention on the head coach of our opponent, we’ve opened it up to anyone affiliated with the organization. So, instead of “Dirk Koetter looks like…” you’ll get a collection of jokes about other folks as well. We hope you enjoy this updated format. -BS

To get us prepared for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers, the CSR staff decided to have a little fun by borrowing the ‘looks like game’ concept from The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz on ESPN.

Ed. Note 2.0 – The Looks Like Game is the best thing that anyone does at ESPN and it’s not even close. If you’ve never experienced it before I highly recommend it. Trust me.

Below is a collection of our best efforts to figure out exactly what/who people from the Bucs organization look like. Feel free to discuss your favorite ones in the comments section, and you can even provide your own if you feel up to it.

Disclaimer: This is all in good fun. We’re not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings here, so if you happen to stumble across this and find your name mentioned, we sincerely hope you understand that we’re mostly kidding.

CSR looks like: Buccaneers edition…

Dirk Koetter looks like he has no idea how email works.

Ryan Fitzpatrick looks like what his kids think cool adults look like.

How Often Do New Airplanes Have Problems?

In the aftermath of the crash of Lion Air Flight 160, one of the worst air disasters in recent years, many observers are asking: How could a brand-new, state-of-the-art plane from one of the world’s leading manufacturers fall from the sky 13 minutes after takeoff—especially since there were no other obvious risk factors at play?

The plane had been serviced for a technical problem the day before the flight took off, which reportedly involved airspeed and altitude indicators, but Lion Air executives said the matter was resolved, and the plane was cleared to take off the next morning. (In the wake of the crash, Indonesia ordered an inspection of all Boeing 737 Max 8s belonging to national commercial airlines, reports CNN; investigators at the scene will also include experts from Boeing and the National Transportation Safety Board.)

The advanced, fuel-efficient Max model has been flying commercially since 2017, and it’s already on track to be fastest-selling airplane in Boeing’s history—with 4,700 orders on the books, from airlines including Southwest, United, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, and Norwegian. The single-aisle 737 is a workhorse of commercial airlines around the world: it’s been operating for 40 years, and there are more than 10,000 currently in service; a 737 takes off somewhere in the world every two seconds, according to Boeing. “It is a highly

Patriotic Day to feature Honor Flight Twin Cities

Keynote speakers give free flights to World War II, Korean War veterans

For the 19th year, the Farmington community will come together to honor veterans at its Patriotic Day celebration.

The event will be held Nov. 8 at Farmington High School. A free dinner will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a program beginning at 7 p.m.

There will be patriotic music throughout the program, a welcome from Sen. Amy Klobuchar and keynote speakers Jerry and Jana Kyser of Honor Flight Twin Cities.

Jerry Kyser is a U.S. Army combat disabled Vietnam veteran who is chairman of the United Veterans Legislative Council, co-chair of Military Action Group and executive director of the Minnesota Vietnam Veterans Charity.

His wife Jana is a former elementary school teacher and property manager.

The couple founded Honor Flight Twin Cities in 2008. Since its inception, the nonprofit organization has provided 20 charter flights to Washington, D.C.

Honor Flight works to transport World War II and Korean War veterans to the nation’s capital to visit war memorials.

The flight is free for the veterans, and so far, the organization has transported 1,700 veterans and 1,500 guardians.

The Roseville-based couple has received plenty of recognition over the years, but want to keep the focus on the veterans they serve.

American Pickers visit Lexington car, motorcycle collector

LEXINGTON – American Pickers’ stars Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz are just as nice as you see them on the History Channel TV show, Lexington businessman Timothy Corwin said this week.

“American Pickers” the documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique picking, filmed an episode on Oct. 25 at Corwin’s farm in Morrow County from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“There was four cameras out there all the time. There was lights and sound. It’s all rehearsed,” he said of the fun experience.

The pickers – Mike and Frank – came down his drive as he was leaning over an MG in his garage. He turned around and looked surprised, “like, look who’s here?” he said smiling.

Corwin said Frank kept calling him Jim instead of Tim so the producer would yell out, “stop.”

Lexington native Corwin, known worldwide as the singer and original member of the Lexington-Mansfield band, The Ohio Express, which scored five Top 40 hits in the 1960s, operates The Bucket Seat on Orchard Park Road. Pickers did not come to the body shop during filming.

“I knew they would want my ’65 BSA,” he said of the green motorcycle in his shop. “That’s my

Learn How to Make 40 Different Paper Airplanes With This Instructional Website

Making the perfect paper airplane is no easy task. Unless you’re a professional, you probably picked up a few tricks in elementary school—then promptly forgot them. Or, you’ve found one tried-and-true plane design, but have never been able to create another model that will fly straight.

Whatever your paper airplane skill level is, the Fold ’n Fly online database probably has a few designs you’ve never even heard of. The website, which we spotted through Laura Olin’s eponymous email newsletter, contains instructions for 40 different paper airplane designs, sorted by both difficulty and the goal you want your airplane to achieve, whether that’s maximum distance, extra time aloft, acrobatic stunts, or just looking pretty.

The step-by-step illustrated instructions can teach you how to make a basic airplane like the ones you likely tried to assemble in school (maximizing time aloft) or something more complicated like the stunt plane, which spins through the air when you throw it. You could also embrace a more origami-style approach, creating intricate designs like a folded white dove that barely flies, but will look great on your desk.

If the written instructions are a bit too hard to follow, there are also links to YouTube video instructions and downloadable pages with marked fold guidelines.

Now there’s no excuse for making a bad paper airplane. Explore the database for yourself here.

Black box from crashed jet recovered

Chief of National Search and Rescue Agency Muhammad Syaugi (left) shows part of the black box of  Lion Air’s flight JT610 airplane, on Baruna Jaya ship, in the north sea of Karawang, Indonesia. — Reuters photo

JAKARTA: One black box from the crashed Lion Air jet has been recovered, the head of Indonesia’s National Transportation Safety Committee said yesterday, which could be critical to establishing why the brand new plane fell out of the sky.

The devices record information about the speed, altitude and direction of the plane as well as flight crew conversations and could hold vital clues to the cause of the deadly accident.

“We found one of the black boxes,” Soerjanto Tjahjono told AFP.

It was not clear whether it was the flight data recorder or cockpit voice recorder.

The Boeing-737 MAX 8, which went into service just a few months ago, plunged into the Java Sea off Indonesia’s northern coast on Monday, killing 189 people, just 12 minutes after taking off from the capital Jakarta en route to Pangkal Pinang city.

Debris believed to be from Lion Air flight JT610, are seen during an operation by Navy divers near the search area off Tanjung Pakis in this still image taken from a video obtained from social media. — Reuters photos

The single-aisle Boeing plane is one of the world’s newest and most advanced commercial passenger jets.

Images from the crash site showed two divers swim to a support vessel and place an orange-coloured device into a plastic tub.

Despite the name, black boxes are
