6 Planes Fly In New Line To Up Tesla Model 3 Production To 6000 / Week

Six planes flew in from Europe. On board those planes are the final pieces in the Tesla Model 3 production bottleneck puzzle.

Yesterday, via an exchange on Twitter, it was discovered that six planes carrying Grohmann automation components and robots were in route to the Tesla factory from Europe.

We should note that seldom is air transport used by automakers, as it’s incredibly costly. Cargo ship is the preferred method, but Musk and Tesla are obviously rushing this shipment, so air was chosen.

Vero Beach man finally opens Father’s Day gift given 50 years ago

VERO BEACH — A daughter who gifted her dad a model ship for Father’s Day will finally see the completed clipper at his home this weekend — 50 years after she gave it to him.

Laurie Zunner was 11 or 12 years old when she presented her father, Dwayne Zunner, with the replica of the Sea Witch, an American clipper ship launched in Manhattan in 1846.

Dwayne, 88, a resident of Indian River Estates, said his daughter knew he enjoyed constructing model airplanes as a teenager and figured it would be the perfect gift for him.

“She knew I was handy and that I needed something to keep me busy,” Dwayne said.

But what Laurie didn’t realize was it would take half a century to see the intricate model ship on display.

“I thought, ‘Well, I guess it wasn’t the greatest Father’s Day gift to give him,'” Laurie said June 14 in a story posted on the website of Acts Retirement-Life Communities, the nonprofit owner and operator of Indian River Estates.

Dwayne was an engineer at General Motors in New York and he kept busy with projects around the house. He put the

Franklin County Radio Control Club to host eighth annual Fun Fly, bringing dads and kids together

When members of the Franklin County Radio Control Club talk about their hobby of flying model airplanes and other miniature aeronautic equipment, they compare it to the high-adrenaline activity of automobile racing.

It may not seem like the two are similar at first, but when you hear members of the FCRCC talk about it, it becomes easy to understand how the two parallel each other.

High speeds? Check. Fierce competition between fellow racers? Check. Intense focus? Check. Relaxation? … Check?

“There are few things that shut my mind off — one thing is flying, the other is racing,” said FCRCC Vice President David Korpieski. “It’s a moment of complete focus. Problems at home don’t matter.”

“I’ve only come across a few things where I was purely focused and in a relaxed state. It drowns out some of those things like work nagging at you,” the club’s President Ted Toothaker agreed. “The only thing with as much focus that I’ve done is race on a racetrack.”

For FCRCC Security Officer Robert Rigby, the two hobbies are more than similar.

“I used to race motorcycles and it’s the same thing,” he said.

Then there are the tricks. Korpieski said model airplane flying takes him beyond the bounds of what the human body can do. His model planes can perform aeronautic feats of human physiological improbability such as rolls, corkscrews and pop tops — where the plane flies upside down before ascending abruptly and descending quickly right side-up.

“It takes a lot of skill,” Korpieski said. “These would kill a real

Sportsmen or Spectators?

Are you a spectator or a participant? Do you only watch the soccer World Cup, or do you sometimes kick a ball yourself?

A few years ago, it was decided to widen the seats at Wimbledon. Apparently, the problem was rather simple—obesity. It appears that the fans who admire the tennis stars in action don’t get much exercise. The chairman of the British Sports Council was prompted to state, “If only the admirers of sport would practice it themselves.”

The Parshah this week is named after Korach, cousin of Moses, and a revolutionary who attempted to usurp the authority of Moses and Aaron. His ill-fated rebellion came to a bitter end when the earth opened and swallowed Korach and his followers, demonstrating to all that Moses and Aaron were truly chosen by G‑d.

Sign Up for E-News

But why name a Parshah after a villain? Korach was a sinner, and is surely not a role model for us to emulate.

My saintly teacher and mentor, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, whose yahrtzeit is observed this Shabbat, offered a novel approach. There is one area where Korach can indeed be a good role model. What was Korach’s burning desire in life? It was to be a kohen gadol, high priest. He coveted Aaron’s position of honor.

Now, being a high priest meant much more than just fame, fortune, glory and privilege. Many sacred responsibilities came with the job. It was no easy task to be a kohen gadol. There were numerous restrictions: where he could go, what kind of activities he could be involved in, whom he could marry, etc. Yet

Executive AirShare Expands in Denver

Executive AirShare has opened a new operations base at Denver-area Centennial Airport, housed at the XJet Denver FBO. The new location is Executive AirShare’s western-most base and reflects growing customer interest in the company’s fractional-share, charter, and aircraft management services in the Denver area.

“It was one of our top five destinations across the business,” said Executive AirShare president and CEO John Owen. “It just made natural sense to set up operations there.”

As an operations base, the Denver location will house customer service specialists, pilots, and maintenance technicians to serve that region, as well as managed aircraft. The company also announced that it hired former VistaJet v-p of sales Lee Richards as sales director, and he will have offices at the Denver location.

The Executive AirShare fleet totals nearly 50 turboprops and jets, primarily Phenom 100s and 300s plus Citation CJ2+s, a Learjet 45XR, and King Air 350s. About 20 of the fleet are managed aircraft, and the rest serve owners of fractional shares.

The Denver location is Executive AirShare’s ninth operations base, and most are in the central U.S., with the eastern-most in Buffalo, New York. The fleet floats among the bases, although managed aircraft are primarily located at one of the operations bases, with some located elsewhere.

In Denver, Owen said, “We’ll start building a customer base for that area, but we’ll operate from Centennial to where we’ll do more flights from there instead of that being a destination.”

Robert Cohen, Denver-based chairman and CEO of IMA Financial Group, is the launch customer
