A bat handling and ID workshop will be held at 1 p.m. today at the O’Neill Center. The course will include information on bat biology and common myths. Ice cream social will be held on Buell Island
The Lowell-Adams Fire Rescue ice cream social will be held July 20 at 4 p.m. on Buell Island, featuring inflatables, a country store, raffles, bingo and music. Celebration of July 4 in Muskingum Park
The Marietta Welfare League will sponsor a celebration on July 4 at the East Muskingum Park at 6 p.m. The event will feature food, a salute to the flag and music by Levi Westfall and Newfeather at 7 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a chair.
Little Muskingum Grange annual pull
The Little Muskingum Grange will host its annual pull July 4 at the Little Muskingum Watershed, 22241 Ohio 26, Wingett Run. There will be pony classes for light, medium and heavy weights at 9 a.m. with a farm and miniature pony pull to follow. Chicken and noodles, sandwiches, drinks and homemade pies with ice cream will be available. The event will also feature a country store and 50/50 drawings.
