American model, to visit Tanzania next month for tourism promotion

Born on August 25, 1992, de Montecristo is also a TV television presenter and beauty pageant titleholder who has been crowned Nuestra Belleza Latina 2013 and Miss El Salvador 2018.

According to one of the Model’s friends Denis Mallya, said that de Montecristo will arrive in Tanzania by January 15, 2019 and expect to spend two weeks visiting various tourists’ attractions and orphanage centres.

“She will land here at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) using KLM airplane. The Model will spend her stay by visiting Tarangire and Ngorongoro national Parks,” he said.

The model will also be accompanied by four people including her mother and spouse.

Mallya added that the Model will use most of her time learning deeply on some of the country’s attractions to be used during her promotion campaign.

“On January 22, 2019, she will visit one of the orphanage centres in Moshi town to see how she can help them,” he added.

De Montecristo owns a nongovernmental organization (NGO) which works to help children living in harsh conditions and orphans in the United States (US).

A report released in June 2017 rated Tanzania’s tourism industry as one of the fastest growing sectors in the country with figures showing a surge on tourist arrivals.

The 2016 International Visitors’ Exit Survey Report indicated that the number of tourists who visited the country continued to rise.

The report was jointly compiled by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, the Bank of Tanzania, the National Bureau of Statistics, the Immigration Department and the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism.

Boeing delivers first 737 MAX Airplane to Royal Air Maroc

SEATTLE – Boeing delivered the first 737 MAX for Royal Air Maroc, which plans to use the fuel-efficient, longer-range version of the popular 737 jet to expand and modernize its fleet.

Morocco’s flag carrier – which welcomed its first 787-9 Dreamliner last week – will take delivery of three more 737 MAX 8s and three more 787-9s over the next few months as part of its strategic plan to strengthen its operations.

“We are pleased to receive our airline’s first 737 MAX, which will soon be joined by three other airliners from the same family. These new 737 MAX airplanes expand our medium-haul portfolio, which forms the backbone of Royal Air Maroc’s fleet. Our choice of this airplane is in line with our strategy of continuously expanding and modernizing our fleet, and comes just a few days after the announcement of Royal Air Maroc’s invitation to join the most prestigious Oneworld Alliance. This in turn will further strengthen our leadership position on the continent, both for our country and for Royal Air Maroc,” said Abdelhamid Addou, CEO and Chairman of Royal Air Maroc.

The 737 MAX 8 airplanes will build on the success of Royal Air Maroc’s fleet of Next-Generations 737s. The MAX incorporates the latest technology CFM International LEAP-1B engines, Advanced Technology winglets, and other airframe enhancements to improve performance and reduce operating costs. It also integrates engine technology to reduce the operational noise footprint of the airplane.

Compared to the previous 737 model, the MAX 8 can fly 600 nautical miles (1,112

Roy Glauber, Nobel-winning physicist who applied quantum mechanics to optics, dies at 93

Martin Weil December 30 at 11:14 AM

Roy J. Glauber, an American physicist who won the Nobel Prize for helping lay the foundations of quantum optics, providing an expanded and modern explanation of the properties of light, died Dec. 26. He was 93.

His death was announced by the Optical Society of America (OSA). Family members said he died at a hospital in Newton, Mass.

As a young man, Dr. Glauber worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where the atomic bomb was built. He was one of the last remaining Los Alamos scientists who saw the first bomb test in the New Mexico desert in 1945.

A longtime member of the physics faculty at Harvard University and an adjunct professor of optical sciences at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Dr. Glauber’s work provided a quantum explanation for the interaction between light and matter.

In 2005, half of the Nobel Prize for physics was awarded to John L. Hall and Theodor W. Hänsch for their work in precision spectroscopy; the other half was awarded to Dr. Glauber, for what the Nobel Prize committee described as “his contribution to the quantum theory of optical coherence.”

Optical coherence is a term associated with the pure beams of light produced by lasers, and it was the development of lasers that helped prompt Dr. Glauber to develop his theory.

Ljubljana Airport unveils plans for 2019 – EX

Armavia went bankrupt because they were extremely mismanaged, not because of the SSJ.
As for Interjet, they seem to be a bit confused as to what kind of airline they want to be. Despite that they seem to be doing ok.

Issues with SSJ are not related to its design, it’s a fine aircraft. Manufacturer has issues when it comes to maintenance support outside of Russia, especially with spare parts. That’s the source of all problems. However, from what I remember, they are planning on building a regional maintenance center at LJU so these problems should be overcome.

Boeing 737 makes first-ever landing at Aspen’s airport as debate about larger planes continues

The once-unthinkable happened Thursday afternoon in Aspen.

For the first time ever, a Boeing 737 airplane touched down at Aspen’s airport. And while Hunter S. Thompson may have rolled over in his grave, hardly anyone else seems to have noticed.

Those who did see it apparently liked it.

“It was so cool,” Pitkin County Commissioner Patti Clapper said Friday. “It was a great experience to at least see a plane this size come in.”

The privately owned, shorter version of the standard U.S. passenger plane landed Thursday afternoon and easily made it under the airport’s 100,000-pound weight limit, though its wingspan was just three inches under the maximum allowed at the airport, according to airport director John Kinney.

“It kinda looked like a whale,” Kinney said. “In terms of a 737, that is the only one that’s ever landed here. I think everybody was like, ‘Yeah, this is a little unusual.’”

He added that longtime airport employees told him the only other comparable landing occurred in the late 1980s or early 1990s, when Donald Trump flew in to Aspen on a Boeing 727.

Thursday’s landing is significant because of the upper Roaring Fork Valley’s longtime aversion to large airplanes. The debate has been reignited recently because of plans to expand the airport’s runway and build a much larger terminal.

The 737-500 that landed Thursday is a shorter fuselage version of 80s model 737s, according to airliners.net. It is
